The Messianic Consciousness in Jewish Prophecy (XCVII) Isaiah

“Arise, shine, for your Light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen on you. For, behold, the darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness the peoples. And on you does rise the Lord, and His glory on you is seen.” (Isaiah 60:1-2)

These verses refer both to the people of Israel and the awareness of their permanent bond with God in the Final Redemption. In the Messianic era God's Light is fully revealed, and His glory exalted. Light and glory are attributes that represent in our consciousness the unattained knowledge we have not been able to grasp regarding God's will for His Creation, and the unattained perception of how His will is manifest in the material world.

The Prophet is telling us that God's Light is already revealed, hence depends on us to know it. We do it through the meaning of Light as the opposite of darkness. Thus we realize that Love's ways and attributes as our Essence and true identity are the Light we need to enjoy the goodness God wants us to be, have and manifest. By manifesting it, we indeed rise to the highest realms of our consciousness and thus we live God's glory in all we are, have and do.

Isaiah also reminds us that there is darkness in the material world, and even thicker in human consciousness, for we are destined to reveal God's Light through the goodness of His ways and attributes. If humankind has not been able to do it, God tells us that the revelation of His Light is imminent, either we want it or not. We must understand this as an invitation for us to leave behind the darkness of negative traits and trends, and begin to embrace the Light of Love's ways and attributes.

We already know that our mission and destiny is to overcome the negative and adverse conditions in the material world, in order to make the planet a better place for everyone.

This task is only possible by also removing the “thick” darkness in human consciousness and fill it by, with and for the goodness of Love's ways and attributes. Thus God “rises” in us as we let lead Love all aspects and dimensions of consciousness, and we “see” (know) God's glory in all we do.

“And nations have come to your Light, and kings [come] to the brightness of your rising. Lift up round about your eyes and see. All of them have been gathered, they have come to you. Your sons from afar do come, and your daughters on the side are supported.” (60:3-4)

The negative traits and trends in consciousness (represented by the “nations”) are waiting for our goodness to turn them into positive ways and means to make Love's ways and attributes prevail in what we discern, think, feel, speak and do. The latter are material manifestations of God's Light that He commanded Israel to be for the nations. As we have mentioned often, Israel represents the positive creative potentials in human consciousness. Hence God addresses Israel to be fully and permanently aware of His Light to be brought to humankind.

Thus we realize that the Torah is God's Light to the material world, and the Torah is Israel's identity. “Kings” represent the ruling values, beliefs and principles that conduct the ways we conceive and approach life. The Messianic era begins when we make Love's ways and attributes the values and principles that will direct the kings that rule our existence. For this we have to “lift” our eyes and see, meaning that we have to acquire full awareness of goodness.

The Prophet refers not only to the nations and their kings, but also the dispersed of Israel that will be gathered in their Land. We realize that what is underlined here is the goodness we can gathered not only from the dispersed of Israel but from those among the nations who want to join them to fulfill together the Final Redemption in which only goodness reigns. God tells us that the goodness we choose in all we do (our “sons” and “daughters”) is always “supported” by His Love.

“Then you do see and become radiant, and your heart become thrilled and enlarged, because the multitude of the sea turns onto you, the strength of the nations does come to you.” (60:5)

The Messianic era begins when we integrate all levels, aspects and dimensions of consciousness for the united harmonic functional purpose God wants us to be aware and manifest. This awareness is the “thrilled” and “enlarged” heart we acquire when we “see” what the radiant Light is in our consciousness, that which shines in the goodness of Love's ways and attributes.

Everything we can think or imagine as “the multitude of the sea” in our consciousness will come to us in and for goodness. The force in what makes us feel, desire and do in life as “the strength of the nations” will come to us to achieve the goodness we are destined to have and be.

Let's reexamine our ancestral memory, intellect, feelings, emotions and passions. Let's wake them up to our true Essence. Let us engage in the delightful awareness of Love as the Essence of G-d. The way this book is written is to reaffirm and reiterate its purpose, so it presents its message and content in a recurrent way. This is exactly its purpose, to restate the same Truth originally proclaimed by our Holy Scriptures, Prophets and Sages. Our purpose is to firmly enthrone G-d's Love in all dimensions of our consciousness, and by doing it we will fulfill His Promise that He may dwell with us on Earth forever. Let's discover together the hidden message of our ancient Scriptures and Sages. In that journey, let's realize Love as our Divine Essence, what we call in this book the revealed Light of Redemption in the Messianic era.
